Amber Denker is an interdisciplinary artist with a practice founded in inventive material exploration. Her object making has always been an exercise in transcending the limits of that object.
She has a long history of working with computer technology and interactive media and is considered a pioneer in digital imaging. Her current focus has become the everyday material and our anthropocene. She has a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MFA from CalArts.
Amber’s work is exhibited internationally and is part of the permanent collection of MOMA, NY Public Library and private collections. Previous collaborators include artists such as Kraftwerk, Robert Longo, Gretchen Bender, New Order, Carter Burwell, and Rebecca Allen.
